Hi all! Sorry for the lateness of this post, but today has been quite busy. I’m doing another lookbook of sorts with the makeup and outfit I used for a retail job interview today. The outfit can definitely vary depending on the type of interview, but this is what I used for a regular retail and sales job. Read on for the look!

I started off again with my makeup. I already had my hair out of my face because it gives off a more professional vibe. I used my Naked3 palette again today (Typical I know, but I was going for the neutral look) and created a look that I use all the time as something reliable. I used a matte pink all over the lid (Limit) and continued with a matte rose brown in the crease (Nooner). I find that these two colors blend so beautifully to create a natural pinky brown look. In the outside corner I added a slightly shimmery basic brown (Factory). I used my CLIO liquid eyeliner in Kill Brown to line my eyes and create a little flick. Brown is best for a natural look on me. I finished with a coat of my Buxom Full and Fabulous Mascara.

I did my eyebrows with the usual NYX combo. I went for a tried and true neutral look because most people want to look put together for an interview without a severe “made-up” look. You can change this look up however you want but I would recommend sticking to your favorite and most comfortable products. You don’t want to experiment at a time when you’re already nervous!

For my face I used my Clinique Matte Foundation, Maybelline Fit Me Concealer, and Tarte blush in Blissful. I used a light hand to apply Benefit’s Watt’s Up on my cheekbones. For blush I would recommend something that matches your natural flush. I also went for a very “My lips but better” shade with my MAC Viva Glam V. This lipstick has never failed to make me look put together and totally “hireable”.

The next step was my outfit. This job required a white or black top with black pants. I chose to wear a pair of slacks with some gold accents because it makes the pants a little more interesting. I tucked in a regular old white button down to keep things basic. On a more formal interview I might add a blazer or change up the shirt color. I wore a pair of black and white oxfords for my shoes (not pictured unfortunately). This outfit is pretty basic because you don’t want to look too noticeable at a job interview clothes-wise.
