Hey everyone! I’m trying something new today with a collection and review combined! I’ve tried out quite a few liquid eyeliners in my day, so I’ve got swatches and reviews of the 3 brands I currently own! Read on for my liquid eyeliner collection and reviews!
Kat Von D Ink Liner
I decided to try out this Kat Von D eyeliner because I heard great things about it. I know that everyone favors the Tattoo liner with a brush, but I was interested in the awesome vivid eyeliner colors that the ink liner range had. I bought the color Bukowski (an author I dislike, but the forest green color is awesome!). I really wanted a dark green to show off my eye color. I think the color payoff and opacity of this product is wonderful. However, it smudges horribly on my hooded eyelids, even with primer. In fact, it just smudges on the primer and won’t wipe off usually. So this eyeliner is only good for me if the line is quite thin.
I managed to make a pretty thin line this time, so the smudging was minimal. The color is super awesome no matter what, so I recommend the product for bright colored liquid eyeliner. See my swatches at the end of the day below.
Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner
This Stila eyeliner comes highly recommended from most beauty bloggers and makeup lovers. I was looking for colored eyeliners again, so I picked the color Teal. I have to say, this is the most disappointing liquid eyeliner I own. I might have gotten a bad batch or color, but the pigmentation is awful. It takes so many layers to create an opaque color. I also don’t like the flimsiness of the pen. My roommate has the black one and loves it, so perhaps I got a bad one. But I still wouldn’t recommend this eyeliner to anyone.
After a couple layers the color really is quite pretty. It’s just too bad about the quality. It also lasts the least long on my eyes, as you can see at the end of the day below.
CLIO Waterproof Pen Liner
If you’ve read any of my blog posts at all, you know how I feel about this eyeliner. I swear by this Clio eyeliner as my basic black waterproof liner. The tip is great for wings and it is perfectly stiff for me. I have also had zero smudging or movement EVER from this eyeliner. I highly recommend it, although the brown version is not quite as as good.
As you can see in the above and below swatches, this eyeliner hardly changes throughout the day. I wore it at least 9 hours without problems. This is the winner by far in my liquid eyeliner collection. Shoutout to my Colourpop eyeshadow for lasting as well!
Thanks for reading everyone! I hope this little collection review helped you in your search for the perfect eyeliner soulmate. Let me know what your favorite eyeliner brand is in the comments!
