Review: Empty Products 9/2

Hey everyone! It’s that that special time again: the time for me to share some empty products! I’m pretty intense about using up products before buying new ones, so it takes me quite a while to accumulate enough stuff. Thankfully the summer is finally ending and I’ve got a few reviews for you! Read on for my opinions!

The first on the the stand are a couple of skincare minis. The Fresh Soy Face Cleanser was one of my Sephora birthday gifts, and I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. I am pretty loyal to my current cleansing routine, but this product is pretty darn amazing! It has a light gel texture, and it really gets off all my makeup. It might be worth buying because of how easy it is to use. I swear by Korean double cleansing, but this product might convert me because it really does it all. The full size price is a bit steep at $38 USD, but I’m still considering it.

The other product is the Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream. This cream is a manual exfoliant I got a sample of. Personally, I wasn’t really a fan. The cream has a strong chemical smell, and I don’t like manual exfoliants anyway. They leave your face rather red and battered I think. The cream gave me a smooth texture, but it wasn’t good enough to repurchase.

The next product is one of my personal favorites. It’s the Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner. This Korean toner has been a staple in my skincare routine for years. It makes the skin feel clean and balanced without harsh chemicals like alcohol. Needless to say, I’ve already repurchased this product and I completely love it!

This product is a little out of the ordinary for me, but I tried out some Crest Whitestrips in the past month. The Professional Effects set had the best review, and I definitely think it made a difference. My teeth are not movie star white, but they are definitely much less yellow. I’m no longer afraid  to wear warm red lipsticks! I recommend this product if you have a little cash to spend and want real results.

The last 3 products are all makeup related. The first is the Clinique High Impact Mascara. I have several samples of this mascara from my mom and grandma. I’d have to say my opinion is neutral. The mascara isn’t anything amazing, but it wasn’t bad either. I don’t think it’s much better than drugstore products I have used, so I would probably leave the full size behind.

Next up is a personal favorite of mine, the Nyx Micro Brow Pencil in Expresso. I have used up one before, so read my previous Empties post to see the review!

This last product surprised me quite a bit. I decided to try the NARS creamy radiant concealer in Vanilla because it was so hyped up. I was disappointed in the size of the mini product, and at first I hated this concealer. I thought it was too thick and creamy. But once I went through the entire tube I had fallen in love! The coverage on this concealer is just completely phenomenal. I definitely want to purchase a full size, although the price is unfortunate. Time to save up!

I hope you enjoyed these reviews of products I worked hard to use up. The struggle continues when it comes to using up products, but it’s very satisfying in its own way! I hope you all enjoy your holiday weekend. I myself will be partying it up (aka playing video games and eating pizza). See you next time!
