Hey all! Today’s look combines two of my favorite things: popular trends and simplicity. I have noticed the all-blush look popping up all over the place, from my Glamour magazine to the videos of some of my favorite Kpop stars. Granted, I think this look has been popular in Korea for a while, but I’m super excited to try it out! Read on for the details.

The best thing about this makeup tutorial is how simple it is. It’s really a one-product look with a single compact. For the photographed look I used the tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Paaarty. This blush was part of the Sephora birthday gift this year and I am OBSESSED with it. It gives me the most natural and beautiful glow! I’ve also used the same blush in the color Blissful for a more warm and coral-based look like Taeyeon is wearing in the picture above. You might notice that I changed my hair color too! I’ve been using the dark black color in my Tartelette palette to darken my brows on top of the brown colors I usually use.

Clinique Stay-Matte Oil-Free Makeup (Alabaster), Urban Decay Primer Potion (Original), tarte Shape Tape Concealer (fair neutral), Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless (translucent), NYX Micro Brow Pencil (Expresso), NYX Brow Mascara (Expresso), tarte Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow palette (fashionista)
Most of the looks I’ve seen that are mono-tone have a very soft and almost messy eye. I smudged the blush color all over my lid and used a blending brush to bring the edges out past my crease as well. I tried to create a bit of a gradient with more color concentrated on the outer corners than the inner corners.
I finished the eye look by using my smudging brush to messily swipe color on my lower lids as well. I put on some mascara on both my upper and lower lashes to complete the eyes.
The face makeup uses more of the same with a dusting of paaarty on the apples of my cheeks and blended outward. I tried to pick a pink lipstick with the same warm dusty pink color as the blush and dabbed it lightly on my lips. Sometimes I think that more natural looks like this one look better with the lipstick dabbed on with the finger rather than the bullet.
Those few steps complete the mono-tone blush look I’ve been wearing a lot lately. It’s been fun experimenting with all my blushes and bronzers to see how versatile this look can be, and it’s a great one for travel and bringing as few products with you as possible. I hope this trend of simplistic makeup looks keeps evolving and making our morning routines quicker. Thanks for reading!
