Review: Products I’ve Purchased Twice

IMG_5300

Hey all! I’ve got a new kind of review post for you today because I found myself needing to replace a lot of products in the last few months. I don’t know about you, but I always seem to have to make all my big spending refills at once and it always breaks the bank sob. I thought I’d review these products for you because I’ve purchased each one of them at least 2 or more times. These are staples for me! So read on for what makes these products so timeless in my routine.

It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream with SPF 50+

The first product I’m going to talk about is also one that I have purchased 2 times already, but has a bit of a price tag as well. I’d love to save a little money, but It Cosmetics has me hooked on the formula and look of this cc cream. I’d have to say this is my #1 foundation, but I don’t use it every day because the tube is smaller than I’d like. When using it 2-3 times a week this product usually lasts me a year. I use the color fair, and I love the slightly glowy texture! I have an oily T-zone, but this product never makes me look greasy. It it also really high-coverage for a cc cream and doesn’t make my skin feel covered in product. I’m a HUGE fan of the SPF 50 in this stuff because my skin needs really good sun protection even in the winter. So I recommend this product if you like what I’ve described and can swing the price tag. Otherwise you can probably stick with something drugstore that works well.

Missha Time Revolution First Treatment Essence Mist

I’d say if you want a K-beauty product with some real bang for your buck, this one is it. I swear I had one bottle of this mist for almost 3 years until I had to buy more. I don’t use it every night, but at least every other and it lasts forever! And at only $20 I think it’s a steal. Missha has always been a well-respected staple of Korean Beauty, and their Time Revolution Essence feels so good on your face. It also helps improve the texture of your skin and renews it after a long day. I found this product on sokoglam.com (an amazing site I have been obsessed with since the dinosaur days) and there is a regular essence bottle available as well if you aren’t a fan of facial mists.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Original

It’s hard to say, but I think this is my 4th or 5th bottle of this little hard worker. For greasy lidded people like me this product is a godsend. All those beautiful eye makeup looks I love would be completely gone in 2 hours without this product. If you’re looking for a primer that does exactly what it is supposed to, this is the one. There are definitely cheaper options on the market, however I find that a little tube lasts me at least 2 years minimum, so I think the investment is worth it.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel

I’ve mentioned this product in previous reviews, but it is still going strong in my routine! I know a lot of people are big fans of the original moisturizing lotion, but I find it is a bit sticky and intense for my skin. I think it’s probably amazing for dry skin though! The gel has everything I need: a light texture, good moisture, and it dries down for a smooth finish. I hate having a sticky face. I use it all year round, but I think it would work well for a light summer moisturizer if your skin craves moisture in the winter. I have said this before, but Clinique is a great option for basic skincare needs as well as for people who have allergy issues like myself. No strong scents or irritation with these products.

NYX Tinted Brow Mascara in Black

If you’ve been with my blog for a while you’ll recognize my two brow products. They have been mainstays for quite some time. Lately this brow gel has had its time in the limelight because I’ve been getting my brows waxed and tinted at work and they need a lot less maintenance. This gel gives a little color and lets me work that messy-brow look. It also keeps my morning routine so much shorter!

NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Black

I’m still using my brow pencil every few days, but with the brow tinting (I swear guys it is the bomb.com) I only need to fill in the sparser areas most of the time. I was buying this pencil way too often and blowing all my money when I was filling in the my grown-out brows, so mixing this pencil with the gel has saved time and money. I’ll also mention that for people with dark Asian hair or dyed hair like mine, the black color of both the gel and pencil is more a very dark brown. So you’re not going to come out looking crazy when you use them.

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes

The final product I bought has been my end-of-day savior for at least a year. These makeup wipes take EVERYTHING off, from stubborn mascara to matte liquid lipsticks. My skincare and makeup routine is pretty rigorous, so it’s nice to keep my cleansing quick and minimal. They are also amazing for travel because they are self-sealing. If you’ve ever come home drunk and are tempted to sleep in your makeup, these wipes are a lifesaver because they are so easy. I will say they aren’t great for the environment because of the disposal rate, so if you’re concerned with that, stick to a soap and hands routine. But for me they are working really well.

I hope you enjoyed this long post about products I am clearly obsessed with. Some products leave you after a while, but some stick around until the very end. Let me know what some of your favorite products to repurchase are in the comments and thanks for reading!
