My 3 Most Used Lipsticks

IMG_2268
I’ve gotten the curiosity bug lately and wanted to figure out which 3 lipsticks are most used in my collection. I’m someone who keeps few enough products to use them all regularly, but lipsticks is where things get a bit crazy. I can’t help but buy tons of them because they are just so fun to play with. I didn’t trust my own judgement, so I picked my top 3 lipsticks by their length and flattened tips. Despite how inaccurate that sounds, I actually think I picked pretty well. Read on to see which lipsticks made the cut!

This first lipstick is definitely the most loved in my collection, although it is also my oldest currently used lipstick. I’m pretty sure this is the first real lipstick I ever bought for myself in sophomore year of college. It’s a Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in the color Wine with Everything. I thought the color name was pretty hilarious when I bought it, and more importantly it became my go-to classy red. It is actually a bit warm for paler skin tones like mine, but somehow it works so well. It’s got a nice flat top from rigorous use. See the swatch below!

The next color has been raved about all over the blogging world, but I had to include it because it is just about my favorite nude pink. This MAC lipstick in Viva Glam V just slays me; it is so beautiful. I only bought this last summer in California, but it is still on this list because it has been used up quite a bit. The color is a shimmery pink that completes any looks that seeks a neutral lip. It is perfect for my lip color, but the shine is just noticeable enough to score some compliments. Check out the swatch!IMG_2262Bonus: all money spent on the Viva Glam lipsticks goes to charity for AIDS relief. Double win!

The final lipstick is one I was given by my mom. She gets a lot of Lancome gifts and often passed things along to me. It is a Lancome Color Design lipstick in All Done Up. I’ve been using this lipstick for a long time as my darker winter pink. It is unique because it somehow is both fairly neutral looking and a bolder dark depending on the lighting and weather. It also has a lovely texture and goes in a very moisturizing way. See the swatch below.

IMG_2266There you have it, my most used lipsticks! I have plenty of colors (almost too many) but I just keep reaching for these gems over and over. They’d be the first lipsticks to repurchase if my collection was tragically destroyed. Check them out if you’re looking for something to wear daily!
