The Look: Easter Pastels

Happy Spring everyone! I’m finally able to say that because the temperature has risen above 40 degrees here in Chicago. Spring is one of my favorite times of year: it has warmer weather, my birthday, and arguably the most important: Reese’s eggs (don’t debate me on this, they are the best holiday Reese’s). Luckily, I get to go home for Easter this year and greet even warmer weather in Kansas. In my excitement, I planned my look for Easter lunch ahead of time! Read on for this pink and pastel look!

I decided to use my Naked3 palette for this one (which you’ve seen 100 times) because it is full of pinks. I don’t wear pink eyeshadow all that much, but spring is the best time to do it! The sun it out, the flowers and growing, and my eyeshadow is pink.IMG_3281I put the color Burnout all over my lid for a light dusty pink. Next I added Limit to my crease. This shade is my ultimate pink transition color because it is neutral and matte! Finally, I put Buzz in my outer corner. This purple/pink glitter shade amps up the dimension and makes the look stunning!

For my face I tried something new and applied the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer below my cheekbones. I decided to warm up my complexion a bit for the spring with this product. I added a bright coral blush, Tarte’s Blissful, to the apples of my cheeks for a pop of color. Finally, I used the Clinique Pop Lip Color in Melon Pop for a peachy pink lip. My nails are from the new Essie Spring collection called High Class Affair.

For accessories I went with pretty pink flower earrings. Because nothing says springtime like some flowers! I also chose a pastel mint dress with lace. For anyone who knows me, this is one of my favorite colors and it will look beautiful for outside photos and time in the sunshine!

I’m so eager to wear pretty dresses and other warm weather clothes, and Easter is going to be my first chance! Let me know how you’re dressing for this awesome spring holiday in the comments below! I hope you enjoyed this look.
