Tutorial: Nude Lips & Rose Gold

IMG_3122

Hey all! I recently got some very nude and rose gold products in a drugstore haul and decided to do a little tutorial with them. I’ve been dying to try out a nice nude lip look for a while and I think I’ve found one! Read on for the look.

I started off the look with a nice base as usual. I think that flawless foundation is the key to a nude lip look because it can be rather bold. I primed my eyes and put on a layer of the Loreal 24 hour eyeshadow in Amber Rush.

As I mentioned in my review and swatches, the pigment of Amber Rush leaves much to be desired, although I love the color. Because of this issue, I decided to spray my brush with the Loreal Setting Spray and dip it back into the color to intensify the shine. This product works wonders, as will anything similar to MAC’s Fix+. If you’re looking for a cheaper option, water and eye drops will achieve this effect pretty well too.

After I added a sufficient amount of shine, I decided to deepen the eyes a bit since the lips would be so muted. I took this idea from the ever popular smoky eye plus nude lips of the Kardashians and disciples. I used the Nyx Tres Jolie liner in black to create a small wing close to the lash line.

After a nice layer of mascara, I moved onto the rest of my face. I tried to do a bit of a contour, but I’m not sure it worked out too well. Combined with my Tarte blush in Exposed, I think everything came together nicely. I finished with the Revlon Matte balm in Enchanting, topped with a pink Lancome lip gloss.

Thanks for checking out my first experiment with a nude lipstick look! I’m really loving this makeup as winter slowly turns to spring (emphasis on slowly). Comment with your favorite nude lipstick that channels your inner Kardashian! Don’t forget to follow me on Bloglovin’ in the side bar!
